Joining a sorority is a wonderful opportunity to further yourself in different activities and positions around campus. ZTA provides the opportunity for every woman to realize her potential. It gives her a circle of close friends, helps her gain confidence, and gives her a sense of belonging. Sororities give women the professional experience they need to succeed in jobs, academics, and leadership. Beginning with the many leadership positions offered as early as your first year, Zeta Tau Alpha offers a wide variety of resources for personal development. We believe that though all Greek life is to be counted as gain, Zeta is the top choice for everything you could want or need.
Zeta Tau Alpha is considered Royalty here on the Hilltop. 100% of our members are involved in other campus organizations in addition to ZTA. Our sisters are involved as Southern Ambassadors, Quest II Student Programming Board, Orientation Team, Religious Life, BSC Athletic Teams, and many more wonderful campus activities. Moreover, every chapter member is also passionate about serving the Birmingham community. We, as Birmingham-Southern Zetas, are proud to say that we have sisters involved in Habitat for Humanity, Relay for Life, the Birmingham Crisis Center, churches in the community, and multiple internships (just to name a few). One community event that is close to each of our hearts is the North Central Alabama Race for the Cure. Zetas all over the country are passionate about finding a cure for breast cancer. This is only one of the numerous reasons why ZTA is the top sorority at every university. When you choose Zeta, you are choosing to be a part of something bigger than yourself. Sisters are able to make a difference in lives around them and on a national and global scale. Ultimately in ZTA, we work to save and protect lives. (THAT'S AWESOME!) Other perks to being a sister of Zeta Tau Alpha include scholarship opportunities, lifelong friendships, and connections in the workforce. It is guaranteed that you will not find better women than the sisters we have here in Zeta Tau Alpha.
