Chapter History
The Alpha Nu Chapter of Zeta Tau Alpha welcomes you to our home at Birmingham-Southern College.
The Alpha Nu chapter was founded on October 7th, 1922. Our chapter is the 39th link in the chain of chapters that hangs at the ZTA International Office. Alpha Nu was the first chapter on Birmingham-Southern’s campus and we have been blessed to carry on this legacy for 100 years.
Zeta ladies live by the creed in their daily attitudes, words, and actions. We value leadership, service, friendship, and loyalty. Above all else, a genuine and loving sisterhood is at the center of our values. In our chapter, we strive to gain quality members by living sincerely and being quality members in return. We desire to hold each other accountable, bring out the best in each other, and always encourage and lift one another up. On campus, we express our values through leadership positions within Zeta and in the campus community. Zeta's are and have always been involved in many things throughout BSC's campus.
Our sisters are involved in Student Government, Quest II, Religious Life, and sports teams. They serve as orientation Leaders, Teacher Assistants, Tutors, and much more.
